Entering Energy space is a backward integration for ACU SA. It is a key variable cost component in the production process of steel the main business of ACU. Recent energy crisis has shifted focus from transition to renewable to energy sovereignty. This has opened great opportunity in energy space in the medium term. In the longer-term renewables like hydrogen with zero carbon footprint offers huge opportunity for which one must plan recourses and build capabilities from now to stay ahead of competition.
